For the return of Verdansk in Call of Duty: Warzone, FC Versailles became FC Verdansk for a week, with an ultra-limited Xbox Series X and controllers to mark the occasion.
Xbox France launched its partnership with FC Versailles with a royal operation built around Call of Duty: Warzone. The goal was to bring football fans and gamers onto the same pitch: billions of people connect through games every day, just as they do through football.
The return of the iconic Verdansk map in Warzone Season 3 gave the partnership its starting point. For a few days, FC Versailles would take on a new identity as FC Verdansk, beginning with a rebrand across all of the club’s digital platforms on 7 April 2025. That identity needed physical pieces worthy of the club and its heritage.
We created a one-off Xbox Series X with gold accents and FC Verdansk controllers in ultra-limited editions, all carrying the new club crest. Both were given away through Xbox France’s social channels.
Across the week, FC Verdansk released daily content in the run-up to its match against Dijon FCO on 11 April: tactical briefings, player preparation, best-shot showcases and new kit drops. Streamer Zack Nani hosted a live event on Twitch where fans could join the FC Verdansk squad and win exclusive items in the club’s colours.
On match day, the players walked out in FC Verdansk jackets designed for the occasion, a few of which were also given away to fans.
